Josh Shapiro melts down over My Pillow ads
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro engaged in an epic Twitter meltdown on Wednesday over the clearly life-and-death matter of... his kids having their eyeballs polluted by My Pillow ads.
As posted on the social network:
This is truly epic snowflake-ism from the Attorney General, who is presumed to be planning a run for yet higher office in the near future and apparently is willing to use upset at My Pillow's founder for being a Trump-friendly American to further his stealth campaign for something more high-powered than the AG's office.
To-date, Shapiro has seemed focused on using his day job to launch attention-grabbing investigations and lawsuits. But the lure of social media popularity and even infamy comes for all.
Predictably, given the philosophical slant of Twitter these days, many of the replies to Shapiro's nonsense praised him. Some detractors mocked him as taking a "courageous" stance worthy of contrast with Americans who stormed the beaches at Normandy, however.
Shapiro is broadly considered the frontrunner for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in 2022, but could face a challenge from Lt. Gov. John Fetterman or Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.
Some have also speculated that State Sen. Katie Muth could take a run at the nomination, though last year, she was seen by some Pennsylvania political observers as cozying up to Shapiro.
